Method One: Recovery Via WordPress Manager by Softaculous

You will need to log into cPanel. You can access cPanel by clicking the “Log in to cPanel” button located on the homepage of your Smart Start Host Client Area.



Once logged into cPanel click on “WordPress Manager by Softaculous”



Click on “Manage Users”



From the “Username” dropdown, select the user to reset the lost admin password for.
In the “Password” field, enter the new password that is to replace the lost admin password. You may enter a password of your choice or use the generate function by clicking the Blue Key.

When finished click “Save” and your new password is already in effect.

Method Two: Lost Admin Password Link

From the login screen found by accessing your domain name followed by “/wp-admin” as default settings suggest. For example smartstarttutorials.com/wp-admin.

You will need to click on “Lost Your Password?”



Enter the “Username or Email Address” associated with the lost admin password and click “Get New Password”.

With a bit of patience, and provided you have entered correct information, you will receive an email to the email on the account with a reset password link. Follow instructions in the email to regain access to your WordPress.
